Swimming at BT Camps is a time-honored tradition. Our unparalleled summer camp swimming program combines a supportive teaching philosophy with incredible expertise. Since we offer instructional swim 4 days a week (barring any special events or extraneous circumstances—”hot day” schedules, etc.), our campers make tremendous progress throughout the summer camp season at his/her own pace. We provide a skill-based swimming program based upon the American Red Cross Learn to Swim guidelines, designed to help develop water safety, skills, and stroke development. Our Instructional Swim Coordinators send home introductory swim level group information and updated progress reports when campers advance in their respective swim level.
Campers have the option to be tested for additional water activity privileges at our outdoor lake and camp swimming pools. If they pass, they will receive a band that must remain on their wrist throughout their time with us in order to continue participating in these water activities.
The Aquatics Complex at BT Camps provides excellent flexibility to safely deliver a swim program and recreation in our 3 pools (including our zero entry to 3’ deep PODS) and on our Splash Pad. All located at our camp facility in Reisterstown, MD (Baltimore County). Near Howard County, Harford County, and Anne Arundel County, MD.
